The Office of the President is a department for comprehensive
affairs and a center of administrative operation of the University.
It fosters coordination and collaboration across the University
and also serves as a key setup for the University to communicate
with the outside world. Its main functions are to organize and
arrange University-wide meetings and major activities, to be responsible
for the operation of administrative official documents for the
whole University, to put forward the working plans and lay down
the important rules and regulations of the University, to guide
and monitor various tasks performed in the University, to take
care of the stamp of the University, to handle letters from and
visits of the masses, to report and submit information of administrative
affairs, to carry out external relations and alumni liaison, to
be in charge of the homepage building of the University as well
as the collection, statistical analyses and release of the comprehensive
information of the University, and to be responsible for the development,
operation and management of the information system of the administration
of the University. The Office includes a secretariat, an administrative
section and an information center. The departments affiliated
to it are Alumni Liaison Office, West Campus Office, Beijing Office
and Supervision Office.
